Peter Fillerup grew up in Cody, Wyoming, the center of the Western Art world. His love of history and his frontier heritage is reflected in his art and designs. In addition to winning numerous gold medals and "Best of Show" awards from shows such as the American Indian and Cowboy Artist S how, the Buffalo Bill Art Show, and the Old West Museum Exhibit, Peter's sculptures grace private and public collections across the nation. His sculptu res have been commissioned as public monuments across Utah and the United States, including the Brigham Young Historic Park in Salt Lake City, the Univer sity of Kansas, the Biblical Arts Center in Dallas, Texas, the Philmont Boy Scout Camp in New Mexico, Soldier Hollow 2002 Winter Olympic Venue, and the Wyoming Governors' Residence.

In 1990 Peter and his family moved to Heber City, Utah where he started Wild West Designs. With this enlarged foundry and metal fabrication shop he was able to expand his line of lighting and other fixtures. Peter has worked with some of the premier architects and designers of the intermountain west and across the nation. His chandeliers, fireplace screens, hardware, furniture, and stained glass windows have been featured in such magazines as Architectural Digest, Luxury Living, Utah Homes and Gardens, Log Home Living, Teton Magazine, Art & Antiques, and Cowboys and Indians.
